We express the love of Jesus Christ through service in our community by providing our financial and personal support for local agencies such as Sharing House, Children's Center, Habitat for Humanity, Koala, Rise and Shine, Whitewater Cove, Volunteers in Medicine, Pisgah Legal Services, Young Life, Center for Dialogue, the local Hispanic Ministry and others.
We support the local ecumenical consortium of churches, Koinonia. We maintain a financial and spiritual connection with The Presbyterian Home for Children, Black Mountain, Grandfather Home for Children, Banner Elk, and Heifer International.
We maintain a weekly prayer group for our church, its members, and the community. And we respond to the needs of the world through regular offerings such as One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost, Peacemaking, and the Christmas Joy Offering as well as special offerings for disaster relief and hunger relief.
